Is this the new imperialism, same as the old? The war on Iraq has made me reconsider what exactly happened with Blair's previous war against Serbia in Kosovo, which, at the time, was presented as a moral exercise to aid the ethnic Albanians in Kosovo. Subsequent events have made me reconsider Tony Blair's integrity. This story from the Guardian points out some interesting facts about the bombing of Serbian state owned industry, and the miraculous avoidance of damage to private businesses. Was the whole war aimed at forcible privatisation of state industry?
